Who
are the Moose Knuckles? The Moose Knuckles Ice Hockey Club was founded by Ron Leverock with the help of Tom Brown and Bryan Leach. The club combines players from the Blackhawks and Xtreme of the Euless Stars Center with players from the Stickmen and Ice Cubes from Polar Ice. All share a desire to improve their skills while playing winning hockey within a solid team environment. And did I mention a love for beer? After lots of beer (lots and lots of beer) and several lame attempts to come up with a dangerous sounding name, the team settled on a moniker derived from a slang expression refering to the crease in a lady's undercarriage. In an effort to retain some semblance of good taste, the team's crest is based on that of the Manitoba Moose. However, an alternate logo featuring the underside of a moose adorns the team's helmet stickers. Shoulder patches are planned for next season. The team wears blue and white uniforms, the same as those of the Toronto Maple Leafs. The team currently plays in the Polar Ice Hockey League (PIHL). The team won this year's Polar Ice Memorial Day Tournement featuring touring teams from throughout Texas. |
