Coming off of an emotionally draining come-from-behind win against Jokerit, the Moose found little in their bag of scoring tricks as Garrod Tyler greeted 35 of 36 Knuckles' shots with some form of leather protective gear. At the other end, Saxon Brack matched Tyler's steller play with a strong night in the pipes of his own. The infamous slow start once again plagued the Knuckles as the Crease Lizards dominated the first period, cycling the puck in the Moose zone at will. Brack single-handedly kept the Knuckles alive in the first. A resurrection in the second put the Moose in control of most of the play as they rapidly peppered Tyler to no avail. With 8 minutes of hockey left, down by a goal,short-handed and badly needing a big play, Tom Granese decided to take matters into his own hands. After blocking a point shot, Granese picked up the loose puck and skated in all alone to beat Tyler. Knuckles 1, Crease Lizards 1. The Moose would up the pressure throughout the remainder of the third and into the overtime, but were outdueled by Tyler, settling for a 1-1 tie. Next up for the Moose, a rematch with the Canadiens this Sunday at 810p.
